"Cafe Nola truly shines in the charming town of DeFuniak Springs. We were delighted to discover this lovely establishment when we were searching for a special place to treat my wife's father to a memorable meal. It's safe to say that Cafe Nola exceeded our expectations in every way. The service was outstanding, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. And oh my, the food was simply divine! We enjoyed every bite of the delicious dishes that were served to us. We are already eagerly looking forward to our next visit in a few months, as Cafe Nola has become our go-to place for an exceptional dining experience."

"One of the best places I've ever eaten. I'm not particularly into Cajun food, but the fresh bread with gumbo, the decadent pasta, and — above all else — the spectacular, crab-stuffed, lobster-and-shrimp-sauce-slathered redfish were so good that this is the meal from our NOLA road trip that we still talk about months later. Beignets were delish, and I don't even like beignets. It's a really easy stop off I-10, and you should go."

"Chef Ernie is truly amazing! We enjoyed every bite of our entire meal along with some great conversation from the chef himself. From the house made hot sauce to the to die for bread pudding it’s all incredible. Make sure to plan a trip to Defuniak just to visit cafe NOLA!"

"Great food, and fabulous ambiance. We visited on a Wednesday around 7:30/8pm in September. No wait for a table. I ordered the shrimp and grits. It has some New Orleans spice, but it wasn't overwhelming. The shrimp was plump and well cooked, and the grits were a great consistency. The sauce The roasted cherry tomatoes added to the flavor, as did the dice bell peppers in the sauce. It was served with a fresh mini loaf of bread, which was delicious. My husband ordered the burger. The meat overlapped the bun. At first, I wasn't sure there was a bun. He enjoyed it with the fries and ordered an extra side of jambalaya, which he also really enjoyed. We then had the key lime pie and beignet trio for dessert. The key lime had a great flavor and was very creamy. The beignets were fresh and delicious."
