Highland View Apartments

"Not a bad place to live, safe but expensive. Expensive for the area and costs are numerous and many weren’t openly discussed prior to my lease being signed. Valet trash is mandatory but it’s a 5 day a week service and they come at legitimately all hours of the night. I complained consistently about it once till a scary bald man came to my door and asked if I had any garbage still in my apartment, I assume he was the valet management but I was so genuinely weirded out, I stopped complaining after. This is kinda a bad place. I was misquoted for pet rent and when I asked her to honor what she originally told me, it was a firm no. Breaking your lease is difficult and they require many months notice. If you fail to do so, they’ll charge you like 3x the rent for the remainder of your stay on a monthly basis. I was told that with a smile which was so bizarre. I will end up paying about a months rent when I’m not even here because of their quietly predatory leasing practices. I got attacked by a dog when I was trying to take it in from the cold. The dog’s owner breeds protection dogs which I know he doesn’t pay for. No pool, no events, no incentives for being a resident. But also, packages are safe at the door (they’ll STILL make you pay for fetch) and there are no bugs to speak of. All in all, one of the better places I’ve lived in Atlanta but I can’t help but get a sour feeling when I reflect on the almost year I’ve spent here."

"I have lived at Highland View for over a year. It is a small and intimate community situated in a vibrant part of town in the center of it all (PCM, Piedmont Park, Trader Joe’s, etc.). Apartment units and community areas are updated and well maintained, all areas are brightly lit at night, and I always felt safe and welcome here. Convenient parking and Beltline access are a huge plus. Finally, the people (management, maintenance staff, and neighbors alike) are exceptionally friendly. This is without a doubt an underrated complex, which deserves some serious consideration among apartment seekers."
