"They only had one bathroom and when I went into the bathroom it was a complete mess, poop on the seat, pee in the toilet, no toilet paper. I went to the front to ask the associates have they seen the bathroom, an I told them the conditions of the bathroom one said he hasn’t looked at the bathroom an the lady just said ok and went back to her conversation. There was no one in the store the two associates were just standing behind the counter talking so there was no reason for the bathroom to look how it did."
"Bought a can opener here for my elderly dad whom I take care for in the evening after work. I leave my office in Bayou George and drive to Compass Lake in the evening to cook and care for him and although it was not my first choice it was on the way. I bought the better of the two they had. It lasted one can before breaking. I put it back in the bag and put it in my truck. After a few weeks I was going by for a few items so I brought it in to return. The nice young man at the counter called the manager for a return. She replied " I will be there in a little while". After a long wait I decided to do my shopping while we waited. When I got to the counter she was leaning over the counter and asked if I wanted a refund on the pizza receipt that had accidently fallen into the bag as well. When I told her the can opener only lasted one can her response was "How old are you?" She then gave me a lecture on why I should know better than to buy a can opener from her store. She went on to tell me where I should have got it. That is when I told her it was for my dad who had since passed away. Went through all of this for a $4 refund on a can opener."
"Much cleaner and better stocked than the Dollar General right down the road from it. Maybe because it's newish, we'll see. Won't be going back to DG anytime soon."
"Register down. Didn't get any acknowledgement or explanation from the cashier when I walked up. She waited 5-7 minutes, hung up the phone, then finally told me she can't check me out. It's 8am. Why are you even open if you have no way to check out someone?? I only had 1 item. I had to put it back and go down the road to dollar general instead."
