"Very disappointing. I’ve been getting my dress shirts and dry cleaning done there for 5 years. Mostly out of convenience. So between my $10 of dress shirts a week, some alterations, some dry cleaning, 2 comforter cleans a year- I probably spent about $800 a year there. So two years ago I picked up a shirt and there were holes in the collar, as if way too much heat had been applied. When I pointed it out I immediately was sternly told it’s not their responsibility and it must have been an old shirt. It was a one year old Brooks Brothers, but since it was a first time issue, I let it go. So here’s the problem- had a suit altered there for my daughter’s wedding In October. 3 weeks later, the hem falls out- I realize they did a horrible job. Didn’t even trim, only tacked it in 2 places, and the other side was about to fall. I take it back and ask them to repair. First, he plays the “i barely speak English so I don’t understand you act” - well, I’ve talked to this guy for 5 years, so I know he understands me. Then he fake looks in the computer and says I didn’t have any alterations done there. I keep repeating “I know I had them done in the beginning of October”. We go back and forth a few times as my blood is boiling only for him to say “only alterations here was a hem on October 4”. He says this while HOLDING THE PANTS. He then says it’s been too long, and he won’t fix them at no charge. I don’t know how long you expect alterations to last, but me- at these ridiculous prices, I expect more than 7 weeks. MUCH more. So instead of apologizing for a hack job on an expensive suit, he refuses to do the right thing and repair it. Even if he didn’t agree, was one more (valid) complaint in 5 years not worth satisfying a regular high- repeat customer? I’m disgusted, annoyed, irritated, and feel like sharing - if you want to overpay for a zero customer care crook, bring your business here. If you expect to be treated with respect and see errors corrected, take your business elsewhere. you’ll thank me."
