Dollar General

"Had an issue at checkout while attempting to purchase my items. Tried swiping my card multiple times and it wouldn't go thru. Bc of over 10 years of retail management experience I knew the error message popping up was due to register error usually linked to poor wifi connection. Instead of trying to listen she immediately blamed the issue on me and my card versus listening to what I was trying to tell her about their faulty card reader. Literally went 2 minutes down the street and grabbed the same items from Family Dollar and with one swipe my transaction was done. From now on I'll just take that extra 2 minute drive to Family Dollar instead of dealing with the unnecessary level of rudeness from all but one of your cashiers."

"Dollar General always have great prices on name brand items however l was told at this particular store they couldn't give me any change back they had no coins in the register Customers were leaving because of this They really need help or just close the store Parking lot was so filthy I had to watch every step They were using dollar tree bags why??"

"Place is filthy. They talked very rude to a Muslim couple that was just confused and looking for an item. Cashier guy took his sweet time doing everything, made me wait 10 min for his conversation with the person in front of me (who’s already checked out) & which was a very unprofessional loud conversation.. after eyeballing the manager, the manager tells him to ring me up THEN he proceeds to leave me at the cash register to follow his friend out to the parking lot laughing. Manager rung me up. Manager needs to get a grip of her employees."

"The manager with the purple hair doesn’t even know her own store policies, i went to swap out a lotion that made my skin break out and i had the receipt, manager told me that if it’s open she can’t return it. I called corporate and they said she was wrong and i have 90 days with receipt, returns if open only apply to DVDs. Corporate is going to rectify my issue since the store manager (purple hair) wasn’t trained properly."

"I had a horrible experience there today. I went in to get some body wash and then realized my coupons were at home so I put the body wash back in it's same location and walked out the store. Before I could reach my car which was in the very first spot (Handicap) the store manager came running out of the store asking where was the merchandise. When I told her that I put the items back in it's place which happen to have a chime when you open it, she said that I was lying and that I put the items in my purse which happened to be a clear see all the way through purse. Feeling extremely humiliated at this point ran back in the store and demanded she check my bag. She refused but assured me she was going to check the cameras. Now I been called a lot of things in my life but never a thief. I left the store with feeling of disbelief and it just didn't sit right with me. I made a u-turn and went back to the store to get her name and the store # so that I can launch a complaint. I work for the police department and showed her my I.D. I told her I want to review the cameras with her and if she didn't see anything but me putting the merchandise back I was going to file a harassment lawsuit against her. She literally followed me out of the store and accused me of stealing. When I said lawsuit she immediately started back peddling. She said that she followed me out the store to make sure I wasn't dissatisfied because the store didn't have any baskets and I had to carry the items in my hand. SHE'S A LIAR! She said I put 2 bottles of body wash in my purse and she was going to check the cameras. Check the cameras because I was upset about the store not having baskets. I will never go back to that Dollar General on Tara Blvd closet to I-75 in the parking lot where the discount mall is. Most embarrassing situation I've ever been in. Not to mention there was a store full of people."
