"I really like this store but is it unfortunate to be followed around the whole store. I’ve experienced this in two instances, both while having my young child with me. I understand the need to be proactive about theft, but to not say a word and instead just follow people? That’s not an okay practice. And like I said, I really like the store. It got a lot of cool time pieces but I will be taking my business elsewhere. Hopefully whoever runs this business will have their employees take racial bias training or something proactive. Edit: And added for context, the man was staring directly at me and my child with his hands behind his back I’m assuming waiting to “catch us in the act.” After he had followed us for 30 minutes around the store. Didn’t say a word but addressed the man next to us which I took as an opportunity to get the heck out of dodge. I did end up purchasing a beautiful teacup and saucer. But that will be the last time."
"Very nice staff. Mario's Comics has some decent comics, better than what had been here for years. Other collectibles, like Peanuts and Snoopy, as well as some music items."
"Visited this past weekend and I found some great items. The staff on the floor were very friendly and helpful, but I will say that the younger woman checking me out was not very friendly. Because the rest of my experience was stellar, I won't take off a star for her poor attitude, but I do recommend that management address her and whomever else is not being a great representative for the store. I'll be back soon to find more treasures."
"i had a pleasant experience, the staff was very helpful with allowing me to place items on hold at the front will I continued to shop. I found great finds like furniture, jewelry, mirrors and a vintage hairbrush(for decoration). The store was way bigger than I thought it would be. Definitely a cool place to just look around as well."
"Great place. A lot of variety and decent prices. Sadly we left with nothing because it was a bit awkward constantly being followed. The amount of employees(3) that were watching over me and my son made it very uncomfortable. If you’re that concerned about theft… get more cameras. My son is 2 so maybe they were concerned about him but “you break it you buy it”. I have a great handle of him and when it’s too much, I know when to leave. Sadly this is not a good place as a stay at home mom. The mill on etowah has a great antique shop and they are very welcome to kids!"
