"Eat here rarely but give it a go every now and then. Not again after Sunday's (2/18/24) experience. A ten minute wait to be seated was not terrible, and I know that service is always slow here. At least they are consistent. I ordered a philly steak sandwich with sweet potato fries and my daughter ordered a black and bleu burger with cheese grits. We also ordered an appetizer. The philly was tasty but I likened the hoagie roll to a footlong hotdog bun. The steak is not sliced, but cut into squares and dry. One slice of cheese I was able to spread out to each end of the hotdog bun. Fries were overcooked but edible. My daughter's burger had no bleu cheese on it so I mentioned it to the server (who appeared to be high) and she said she would take it off the ticket. I received the ticket and saw that we were charged for a regular burger, and that was fine (total was 41.31). Sent my card with the server and it was charged for more than my bill (42.55). As previously mentioned, service is always slow here when you are being waited on so you can imagine getting anyone's attention after you have had your card swiped is impossible! So I marked out the 42.55 on the merchant's copy and wrote in the correct total (41.31) and added a tip to that. Today (2/19/24) I see the charge on my online banking and it was charged the 42.55 plus tip! RIDICULOUS. And maddening. They have lost a customer for good, for sure!"

"Me and my wife went to Texas restaurant for lunch today. The establishment was clean and the waitress name Kaytlynn was very friendly and professional. She kept our glass full of tea and kept checking on us while we were eating. The atmosphere is family oriented and will continue to come here to eat. Ask for our waitress Kaytlynn she will take care of you. Hands down!!"

"Had the Amarillo Chicken which was smothered in Chipotle Cream sauce. Chicken was fork-tender and delicious. Came with macaroni and cheese which was good, but reminded me of Stouffer's, except there was no baked crust on top. This is right on my way home from work so I will stop in again and try something different. Tried the black & bleu burger and cheese grits, both were good. Grits a little soupy but maybe because I let it sit with the cheese on top. The folks here are great, very friendly and helpful. We'll be back!"

"Service was absolutely amazing!!! The Firecracker shrimp were awesome.. I also had the 12oz Ribeye with veggies and twice smashed potatoes.. the flavor was very tasty but it was supposed to be a medium. It was well done and extremely tough. Overall pretty good experience!"
