"I’ve been dealing with mental health issues going on 3 decades, and having moved frequently, I’ve received care from over a dozen psychotherapists. Sharon is by far the worst. First, her windowless office has all the comfort of a hospital intake room. But second and most importantly, she makes zero attempt to make eye contact or talk to you as a human being. She simply reads off a questionnaire and has you verbally answer questions she’d know the answer to if she read your intake paperwork. I was shocked honestly. She did not even take 5 minutes to say hello or establish a rapport. Sharon, I hope you take this to heart, maybe it’s time to retire if your heart isn’t in it anymore. You should glean information from your patients through discussion and conversation, not basically a buzzfeed quiz"

"I had a very poor experience with Sharon. I saw her for about eight months while i was thirteen and dealing with an eating disorder and behavioral issues. She never once taught me tools regarding my eating disorder, she tried to hyper manage my family. She would try to diagnose me with different disorders such as bipolar disorder, ODD, and OCD despite her lacking the degree to be qualified to do so. She also would break patient confidentiality laws frequently to tell my secrets to my mom. Sharon is incredibly out of touch with teenagers and would try to convince my parents to take all technology away from me as well as try to convince them that I needed to be placed in a long term care facility for teenagers with mood disorders. As well as how she would try to coach my parents on how to punish me. Therapy should never be punitive and at every opportunity she tried her best to make it so. Thankfully with the help of a different and far better therapist I was able to heal. No thanks to Sharon I am now excelling academically and socially and closer with my family than ever. Overall Sharon did nothing for my family other than help rip our dynamic apart. I do not recommend Sharon as a therapist for anyone but especially not for a teenager."

I appreciated her open conversational style, and highly benefitted from her extensive experience as a psychotherapist having worked with a broad range of clients. Her experience with eating disorders was especially helpful as I was working in the ED field, and did not have an LCSW available for supervision. Sharon kept accurate records of our supervision sessions and promptly submitted the needed material for my clinical license application."
