Quilombolas de Luz Capoeira in Jonesboro, Georgia, is a unique institution that combines elements of martial arts, fitness, and community building. As the first Capoeira Martial Arts Program in Clayton County, we focus on both consciousness and combat, using Capoeira as a method for self-defense and social development. Our curriculum includes sparring, cross-training, and pressure testing to produce efficient martial artists with strong moral character.
In addition to martial arts training, we offer Portuguese and foreign language courses and partner with elite Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners to enhance our self-defense courses. We also incorporate spiritual principles into our lesson planning, honoring Capoeira's ties to various religious systems.
With over a decade of experience and research, we have developed a comprehensive curriculum that addresses common pitfalls in martial arts programs. Located inside Champion's Boxing Gym, our institution provides a welcoming space for community building and personal growth.
