"I brought my dog in on short notice for quick assistance. These ladies were wonderful to us and we will be going back!"

"Beware before you adopt a pet from Rest your paws! They lied about the pups health issues and then after paying and receiving the dog they gave me papers with a long list of health issues after taking him home, and even when asked directly if he had any health concerns and being assured he was healthy. Clearly he was unwell when I got him home, his pee was neon green and he was not house trained in the least even after being told by the foster and the rescue that he was. They will tell you what you want to hear and things will come to light after. They also lied about his age which I understand is sometimes unknown with rescues but I was told we was 2 and then on the vet paperwork they gave us after the fact he is 5 which is a huge difference! With all the issues the dog came with, including an extreme case of heartworms he had to have surgery and he didn’t survive the surgery as the case was way worse than they expected. It is not right that these people are preying on animal lovers just for their money and once you leave with your pet don’t expect them to email you back or answer your phone calls because they won’t. I’m not one to leave reviews and I’d rather go straight to the source but they won’t answer. After three months of having a pet from here it has died. Beware before adopting here. Listen to other reviews too because i know I’m not the only one."

"I cannot recommend this establishment in its current state. To begin, the deworming medicine that was given upon adoption DID NOT WORK. This is a health hazard for pets as well as people. Rest Your Paws needs to reevaluate the services they offer with each adoption and be realistic with the expectations they set for adopters. To begin, my partner and I were able to adopt a puppy within days of applying for her. Great! However, after they receive your $250 and you have the animal, that's it, you cannot expect to hear from them again. Once we got the puppy there was ZERO communication between us and the facility. We reached out at least a dozen times in the interest of receiving the promised vaccination and additional follow-ups. Mind you, they gave us multiple numbers so there isn't a primary number follow-up number to begin with. Each time was met with a voice mail and we never received a return call. Rest Your Paws stated that additional vaccinations, spaying, and chipping would all be included with our $250 adoption fee. We've since taken our puppy to the vet in order to get all of her vaccinations redone due to the complete lack of communication. Our vet wasn't even able to reach Rest Your Paws or their Animal Aid partners in order to get a little bit of history on a 3 month old puppy which was born in their care. It's very possible they lied about the treatment our puppy had already received before we got her. There's no way of knowing, since they won't communicate with us. The mission to find homes for animals is an admirable one. However, they seriously need to reevaluate and act on their nonexistent communication and reassess the services they "offer". What's scary and unethical is that they're giving syringes full of god knows what as a deworming medicine which doesn't work for one reason or another. I strongly advise others to consider this information when choosing to adopt from Rest Your Paws."

"Very friendly, With a tough mission. For those of you condemning. Look around Quincy. There's not near the dogs running loose as there's been in the past. For those with a better way offer to HELP. They are trying, which is a lot more then most do."
