"Gorgeous area, wonderful food, beautiful resort. Service not the most hospitable to people who are handicapped. My mother inquired about an elevator, but there is none. No big deal, she asked if someone would be available to carry her walker up the stairs for her (it’s about 20lbs at most) and this request was refused as well. The person who she spoke to was irritable, and she complained, “why didn’t you tell us this when you made the reservation?” Well, because my mother wasn’t handicapped when the made a reservation months ago. She suffered a blood clot in her leg and a resulting fasciotomy, leaving her partially handicapped. The trip to the Dahlonega resort and vineyard was supposed to be very special, a celebration of her surviving and healing. But this initial interaction put an immediate feeling of unwelcome. Not to mention, this was in the winter when there is significantly less guests. It couldn’t have been that big of an inconvenience. Needless to say, she will not be returning."

"If you want a nice place to stay in Dahlonega, Georgia, the Dahlonega Resort and Vineyard is a good choice. We went on December 21st to go see the Christmas lights in Dahlonega and were looking for a place near downtown. At roughly 6.6 miles from downtown, this was a convenient choice. Also, we got a queen bed/room for $135 total, so that was pretty cheap. We stayed in the main building but they also have cabins and villas you can rent .Obviously, the price will fluctuate during different seasons. Besides the good price and location, the staff was friendly. When we were struggling with the shower, the restaurant manager actually took the time to come to our room to check it out to see if he could help. Because of him, we didn't have to call the manager. Another reason to stay there is the complimentary snacks, water, and coffee, which is located in the gift shop. Because of our positive experience, we would stay there again."

"What great staff! It was clean, had lots of space and the customer service was fantastic! Spencer waited on us a few times and always had a smile on his face. The receptionist was very helpful in many ways. Would definitely recommend and stay there again!"

"We are here for a wedding weekend. Beautiful spot and not too far from downtown. Rooms are cute in the West Wing. TV, coffee maker w/ creamers and sugar, mini fridge in room. Also has a steamer for clothes, hair dryer, and toiletries. Hospitality center has 24/7 access to guests with coffee, water, snacks (chips, fruit, bars, etc). Fire pit and deck are nice.spots to sit with a coffee or hot chocolate. Beds are comfortable. We've enjoyed our stay."

"I had a reservation secured for over a month for dinner to celebrate a special occasion (a once in a lifetime event actually) and 72 hours before the date I was informed that the place was booked for a wedding and my reservation had to be cancelled, only an apology was offered with no back up suggestions or work around. Nothing. I would understand if they had told me a few days to a week after my reservation was confirmed that it had to be cancelled, mistakes are made with booking systems, but why wait until a few days before when the reservation had been made a month previously? Not only that but its a busy weekend up this way so I was left scrambling to find a back up. This wasn't just some random dinner plans and they really failed me here."
