"We recently stayed at the Avid Hotel during a SVT Volleyball tournament, and I must say it exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment we walked through the doors, the welcoming customer service set the tone for our stay. One of the standout features was the staff's dedication to ensuring IHG members like ourselves fully understood the points system. She went out of her way to explain the perks and benefits, making us feel valued and appreciated as loyal customers. The hotel itself was a breath of fresh air – literally compare to the Embassy Suite of downtown Montgomery, AL. The absence of carpets was a brilliant touch, especially for those with allergies or concerns about pet-friendly accommodations. The use of Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring not only added a modern touch but also ensured a clean and germ-free environment. It was evident that the management prioritized the well-being of their guests. The breakfast provided a great start before the tournament. The refreshments served tasty but also convenient for those looking for a quick and satisfying snack before hitting the courts. The variety and quality of the breakfast options reflected the hotel's commitment to providing a well-rounded and enjoyable experience for their guests. Across the street is Cracker Barrel and Waffle House as well for breakfast. Choosing Avid Hotel on short notice turned out to be a great decision. The contemporary amenities, including a flat-screen TV, impeccable water pressure, and heavenly pillow-top mattresses, contributed to a much-needed and restful night's sleep. It's evident that the hotel has invested in ensuring guests have everything they need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. In conclusion, Avid Hotel provided an exceptional experience during our volleyball tournament stay. The combination of excellent customer service, a clean and modern environment, and thoughtful amenities made it a standout choice. "We really liked this place, had never heard of it before, but decided to give it a try. Room was small, but we were fine with that. Bed was good & sheets were clean. I take one star off for a less than spotless entry floor & feel like the bathroom could have used a bit more cleaning. Breakfast was on the smaller side, more packaged items. Staff was super friendly!!! Overall, we enjoyed our stay & would stay again."

"First time to stay at an Avid hotel. Wasn't sure how it all worked. There are hooks around the room instead of a closet. There are two pad benches in our room, we sat on one and used one for a suitcase holder. Bathroom spacious. Friendly staff. The room refrigerator didn't have a freezer. Hotel staff stored our ice packs for us courteously. Coffee was decent, It's a Grind and Brew machine. Had hot and cold water dispensers, which were appreciated. Very clean, spacious, bright breakfast area. There's a little sidewalk to walk around in. It was nice and quiet. We felt very safe."

"Very expensive one night rate at 230+ dollars. The room was humid and overly warm. The wall thermostat did not work. I was able to change the temperature on the under-window unit but it took over an hour for the room to cool and the humidity to leave. An overall dank feeling experience with sheets sticking to me. The mattress was overly soft with a lumpy feel. The bathroom had mold in the crevices of the shower and scuff marks on the floor. The breakfast next morning was small parcels of egg bites that had been very very overcooked. They were hot at least. But a tough chew and very dissatisfying. All the other offerings were prepackaged breads and cereals. The coffee was dispensed from an automatic machine and was very weak. The staff, was very friendly and kind so they have good people there. It's just run down feeling even though it looks new. The 'breakfast' was awful and the coffee worse. I strongly recommend staying at a nearby hotel (I've stayed at 3 others at this exit) and avoiding the expensive pretention of Avid."

"We definitely enjoyed our stay! Our room was spotless, smelled nice, and equipped with amenities that made our visit even more comfortable and at ease. The Hotel staff were pleasant, sociable, and available to answer any questions. Checking in/out was a breeze. We had a peaceful night’s rest without being disturbed by guests on either side. I would definitely recommend this Hotel to anyone and we look forward to our next stay."
