"Black mold, no soap, itchy bed I ended up at this place for just 6 hours because my flight got canceled, and honestly, it was pretty awful. The shower was covered in black mold—it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages. To make matters worse, there wasn’t even any body soap in the bathroom. It felt like they just didn’t care about the basics. Then there were the bed bugs. I spent the next couple of days itching like crazy. I tried talking to the manager about maybe getting a small discount, just something to acknowledge that the stay was far from what anyone should expect. But they wouldn’t even have the conversation with me. It was like my concerns didn’t matter at all. If you have other options, I’d say go for them. The way they ignore basic cleanliness and guest feedback tells me nothing’s going to change anytime soon."

"The room was clean and the evening staff was pleasant. However, we were told that check out was at 11am even thought the sign showed 12. We were told the sign was wrong. Then later I called the front desk for a extra pillow and was told they do not have extra pillows. The bed was raised at the foot as a result we had to sleep backwards with our heads at the foot of the bead and feet against the headboard. In the morning we went to have breakfast at 6:27. At 6:40 the restaurant had not opened. When I went to the front desk to question why the restaurant area had not opened she apologized and said that it opens at 6:30. That they are still setting up. It’ll be just a few minutes. At 6:52 one of the restaurant hosts opened the restaurant, and stated that they didn’t have any food because they did not have a cook, but they can serve coffee only. I was not able to have breakfast with my husband before the airport shuttle took my husband to the airport. When I complained to the front desk she only said she was sorry and that we could go to Waffle House or McDonalds. I explained there wasn’t enough time because my husband had to go to the airport. And let her know that not having a cook would’ve been nice to know 20 minutes earlier. All she could say was she is sorry."

"My first experience with Sonesta. Employer sent us here for a conference, will advise them not to use this hotel again. The only good thing is how close it is to the airport, if you’re trying to stay nearby. The lobby looks decent enough when you walk in, but the whole building is old and needs lots of renovations. The bathroom and shower have a lot of mildew, the wallpaper is peeling and the toilet seat in my room was all cracked and peeling, not to mention the furniture being very dated and ripped up. The restaurant in the hotel has ridiculously inconvenient hours. The heat in the hallways and conference room is broken, so we were all freezing for two days, and now I’m sick. Upon checkin we were informed checkout is 12:00pm, I asked for a late checkout of 1:00 and they said it would be $30. None of us have ever been charged for a late checkout. Then on my last day, some guy knocked on my door @ exactly 12:00 to make sure I was getting out. Seriously? That’s never happened in any hotel I’ve ever stayed in- just rude. I’d understand if they were trying to get someone in there, but they weren’t. When I complain, the front desk says checkout is actually 11:00am and 12 is just a courtesy. Welp, maybe tell the rest of your staff to relay that, because I was only told 12, nothing about 11. Regardless, “housekeeping” shouldn’t be banging on doors and shooing guests out. Disgusting that they have the audacity to charge for an extra hour and rush people away after letting their guests freeze for two days straight. It’s winter, and it’s completely unacceptable to not have heat. That should’ve been fixed the same day."

"This hotel is always clean. However, the rooms are a bit outdated but very clean and smell good. They are always cleaning, which is a good sign. Thank you to Tarry and Tasha, who works at the front desk, for making my stay comfortable in between trips. They are so accommodating. Tarry, who works during the night, is the best. He's always professional and goes the extra mile for others. I had a small safety issue. Tarry quickly took care of it, displayed empathy and concern, and made sure I felt safe. I appreciate his help. Sonesta is a great hotel in Atlanta."

"This is an amazing facility. The first thing to point out is how clean everything is. You can't even begin to get comfortable in a dirty hotel. The staff is very warm and helpful. An amazing location so near the airport. I was part of a large group and they were very accommodating for our requests. The Breakfast they serve is quite delicious as well. I can't wait to return next November."
