"Purchased a Christmas gift online for curbside pick up over a week ago. Not last minute shopping at all I planned this all out. I went go pick everything up since it was ready for pick up. I was told that my order was cancelled because they tried to charge my card twice! They charged my online when I placed the order then when I went to pick it up they tried to charge me again and of course my purchase of 200 plus dollars they said means nothing even though they charged my card. They said I would have had to pay for it again in the store! This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had doing online shopping with curbside or even store pick up. The lady that interjected my conversation with the employee who I’m guessing was his higher up. She was very rude and said because the card didn’t go through two times she can’t give me my order and cancelled it. I will make sure this is heard about. HORRIBLE PLACE"
"Tried to purchase a firearm and answered a question incorrectly by mistake, I own a restaurant and was very tired when I filled out the questionerate Friday night. Unfortunately, I made a mistake, I was placed on a 30 day ban from buying from academy. Fine, I'll except that, it was my mistake. I told my brother about the the deal on the pistol because it was a terrific savings, so at least one of us can enjoy the deal. They refused to sell to him because he was my brother. They wouldn't give an reasoning other than he was my brother. Unbelievable, now nobody gets the great deal. Very unhappy, considering all my firearm purchase have been from academy."
"Bought arrows and gloves online. They delivered in a plastic bag… not very straight arrows arrived. Gloves arrived used, no tag and wrong size. Had to stand in line and return to the store. Defeats the purpose of buying online… Kid at the counter said sorry he didn’t do it. Fine products, poor experience. Should have just gotten on Amazon."

"I went to purchase my first firearm. The sales associate Brook, was extremely knowledgeable, patient, informative and thorough as he walked me through the safe practices, practical use and mechanics of the particular piece. He walked me through the background check and made sure everything was done correctly. I felt very comfortable with my purchase. The manager and employees followed store procedures which made me feel very safe."
