"I did not get the style haircut I discussed with the stylist. I had waist length hair with long layers and two front isolated shorter pieces. Sasha, my stylist, and I discussed and agreed upon trimming about 3 inches of hair, keeping the long layers and the two front short pieces. Sasha cut close to 6 inches of length from my hair. Without consulting me she also thinned my hair and did face framing. The style haircut I asked for was SO incredibly simple and she did not provide the style we discussed. Once she started cutting huge lengths during the face framing instead of just the two shorter pieces I talked about, there was nothing I could do and there was no use arguing what was already done. In addition, I was extremely disappointed by the layers and cut because it looked chunky and choppy. It looked like someone took a dull blade and cut off random chunks. Practically every wrong turn you could make in a very basic trim was taken. I’ve been to Fifth and Mae before and went to Taylor. Sadly, she doesn’t work there anymore. She gave me an absolutely PERFECT amazing style and cut. I was hoping to make this salon my new go-to. But I literally went home and was very upset because I paid over $90 for someone to not only completely ignore what I asked for but also choose to make their own stylistic choices without my consent. I do not take issue with the salon itself. I enjoy the atmosphere and appreciate the attention to detail taken when booking an appointment. However, if they have “master stylists” who leave clients with a cut like mine, I cannot trust returning to get any better of a result and I cannot recommend the salon."
