"The pulled pork was very dry and the brisket was burnt and fatty. The sauce on the meat was very sweet as they were trying to cover the poor quality of the meat. Even the corn bread wasn't fresh and the bbq bean was so sweet as if pancake syrup was used to cook it."

"3/10/23 We went here for dinner, got here around 6pm and there wasn't a wait. We were able to walk in and go straight to a table. When we were leaving there were a bunch of people waiting on tables and they said they were on a 35 minute wait. I got the large BBQ pork plate it was very good and enough for probably 3 sandwiches. My husband got the baked potato that's loaded with pulled pork. He had to send the first one back because the potato wasn't done enough and was still really hard. The second one he got was perfect. Unfortunately they were running low on cornbread. I wanted to get a basket of cornbread but they were limiting the cornbread to one per person. We also got the butterfinger pie and it was really good. It doesn't come with ice cream or whipped cream or anything. The waitress was super nice and did a good job. The food came out super quick. Update 01/06/24 We got here around 5 on a Saturday. First Saturday since they closed for Christmas I believe. So they were pretty busy. We only had a party of 2 so the wait wasn't that long, maybe 10 minutes. I got the BBQ pork sandwich meal with double fries and my husband got the half rack of ribs with baked potato and stew. The food was perfect. Everything came out within 5 or 10 minutes of ordering and it was hot and fresh."

"Returned for birthday and as usual food us off the chain. Not wild about slaw but pork, beef, stew and cornbread out of this world good. However good the food was, our server, Madison, was better. Nine varied, crazy people and she handled it like the pro she is. Prompt, professional, accurate. SUPER job Madison. Thank you."

"I haven't been here since the 1990's. I have told my wife about this place for years. It is 65 miles from our house to the restaurant and since we were in Griffin for our grandsons JROTC Raider competition I told her I would take her there afterwards. We have been traveling a lot lately and tried BBQ from 3 new locations that were disappointing. Thankfully we were not disappointed at all. My wife LOVED the pecan pie. The leftovers were ate for lunch the next day."

"Southern Pit Bar-B-Que located in Griffin, Georgia is awesome. They are conveniently located. They have ample parking. The employees are very friendly and professional. The food is great. The entire atmosphere is just what you imagine when you this of Southern BBQ. We highly recommend this restaurant."
