"Terrible. The worst bbq I’ve ever had in my life. The brisket is dryer than a rubber shoe and the “sauce” they give tastes like spaghetti tomato sauce. The only reason I’ll give it two stars and not one is because the sides were okay. Not great."
"Do not underestimate the portion sizes of breakfast. The biscuits are huge. The gravy isn't just a sausage gravy, definitely bacon in there as well. The pancakes are big and fluffy. Everything was delicious. Too much food for me, but that's not a complaint. The service was fantastic. The atmosphere warm and friendly, but very much of an era."
"Just as advertised….local barbecue joint that appears to be a favorite of the vintage group. Dark wood interior with booths. Food was good and plentiful. Service was excellent. I had a Country Mex omelette and my wife the pulled pork sandwich with Brunswick stew. I’m not sure if it’s Atlanta’s best, as advertised on their tee shirts, but it wasn’t bad. It’s a pretty stiff barbecue market. A private dining room is available. Nice meal bar and you can see the barbecue oven."
"For 30 years Old Hickory House is one of the best places to eat breakfast. Pancakes are fluffy and big as the plate. Biscuits are wonderfully delicious. Brunswick Stew is thick and full of meat and veggies with that Smokey flavor. The barbecue ribs are fall off the bone tender. Service is excellent and wait staff attentive. Restrooms clean."
"Ordered from DoorDash and got the pulled pork plate. The garlic toast it came with was delicious. BBQ sauce is okay, but the tomato is so overpowering that it doesn't really taste like BBQ sauce to me. The portions for the sides were *incredibly* small. The containers themselves were surprisingly small, so I assumed they'd at least be packed to the top - nope. The fried okra included less than 20 pieces and the mac and cheese wasn't even filled to the top of its tiny container. I hope they aren't charging the side prices I see on their menu if you order these sides a la carte. The food was good, but they are very stingy with the portions for delivery orders. I'll dine in next time and hopefully won't still be hungry like I was after getting it delivered."
