"I originally tried Old South for the first time and my hush puppies and stew were delicious- but my ribs were a tad overcooked. I talked to the lovely Sharon and she apologized and told me to come back and talk to owner Joy. The next day I returned and talked to Joy and she was a ball of sunshine and joy! She apologized and gave me another order of ribs on her behalf. They were very delicious the second time around and the establishment customer service as a whole was worth a return. I appreciate you Joy & Old South BBQ crew."
"Amazing food, super-friendly staff. Our waitress gave us all hugs since we were new. The pulled pork and peach cobbler were probably the best I've ever had. Bathroom was slightly dirtier than I would prefer but, but overall experience is still 5 stars."
"It is a local Mom and Pop BBQ establishment with an old-time vibe. The BBQ is okay with good portions. The service treats you like family, so great there. The atmosphere is a little dated, but honestly, that helps with the hometown feel. They definitely need to clean the table condiment bottles and lids. The salt and pepper shakers also need to be dumped and run through the dish washer."
"Always greeted with friendly welcoming and or hug. Food never disappoints. If I could I would eat there twice a day everyday ( they are closed Mondays). If you want to “pay it forward “ they make easy to do as well. I’ve eaten here for over 30 years, they are my favorite place to eat!"
"Stopped by here to try out this place out since I have driven by this place for many years. Parking was a bit full when I stopped by. I was greeted and taken care of pretty easy, and had some items explained to be prior to confirming my choice. Very good! The only downside is that it took about 40min to receive my order. The lady on the register did apologize for the wait time prior to handing me my food. The food was plentiful! It was great! Overall i would probably stop by again to try more items on their menu."
