"Genuinely mediocre BBQ. Staff was nice but service really slow. Meats were not as dry as some have suggested but were not great either. Okra and Mac/cheese were good but again not great. BBQ cheese fries appetizer was a major disappointment. No creativity - just some fries with pork and cheese thrown on top. Not even a green onion garnish. Overall, there are probably 10 better BBQ places within 3 miles of here. We’ll go there next time."

"Well honestly the food wasn’t bad. It was very different in my opinion. I’d never had smoked chicken before that was so light in color and no char or black coloring. Again it wasn’t bad bad just different the chicken was ok but there Mac and cheese and baked beans BY GOD those where good!!! The service was slow surprisingly I’m not sure what was going on but there were only a few people in the joint and we had to wait for long periods of time to get help or refills. And the bathroom was poorly managed and taken care of. Overall a decent experience will give it another try sometime in the future."

"Excellent service and some cool Happy Hour/daily special options. Not the best bbq that I ever had, no where close to the worst. If you have a peanut allergy, beware as they place buckets of peanuts on each table. We had the pork rinds and the sausage platter, which were really good. I had the combination of spare ribs and chicken with baked beans. The chicken was a little dry and the ribs could have used a little more flavor and I added a lot of barbecue sauce , which I typically don’t use a lot of. I would definitely go back and try some other items."

"We had my daughters baby shower at Red rooster June 3rd and I do not regret. The food was great, the service was great, and for the price and the time we were there I was very satisfied. Will definitely be using again in the future. The manager Jennifer was awesome from the time I booked till the time we left! Highly recommend for showers and small events!"

"This is my second visit. About 1 year between visits. New owners/ management since my last visit. The food was good the 1st time & has vastly improved since. I ordered the brisket plate on both visits & the 1st time it was mostly fat, which I will not eat. This time it was the perfect ratio of fat to meat to remain tender, juicy and flavorful. Wait staff is excellent, though they seemed to be a little short staffed, not significant enough to create complaints during the slowest time of day (3:30ish) but noticeable. I look forward to making my visits more frequent now."
