"Stood at the counter for over 10 minutes while the employee just kept looking back at me and completely ignoring me, so I left my items at the counter and walked out. Ridiculous customer service"

"The cashier that was on the clock when I visited had such a bitter attitude. When I was given my total I asked if they took apple pay & he said he was wasn’t sure but he doesn’t think so, I asked if I could try it anyways since I saw there was a sticker that looked like it was specifically for apple pay on the reader & he insisted “no, i’m telling you it’s not gonna work” so I said okay, alternatively I only had cash on me besides apple pay but it wasn’t enough so I needed some things taken off. He called whoever was supervising him to put in their pin to remove a few items since he couldn’t do it. The total was $2 over what I could pay in cash, again, I could’ve covered the whole thing in apple pay. I asked if he’d take off one of my drinks & he laughed, as if the situation was such an inconvenience to him, took out a random drink & I told him “can you take out the other (more expensive) one?” he said “are you sure?.. are you certain?.. you sure?” I just said yes all 3 times he asked. He finally went to ask his supervisor once again for their code to remove the item. While we were waiting for her he asked “so do you not check the prices of the items before you come to me?” bit of an unnecessary question but I said I do, but I thought you guys took apple pay so I wasn’t expecting to pay everything in cash. he showed no understanding and kept annoying me telling me i “could’ve asked him for a price check”. I even asked him “why do you have to make such a big deal out of this?” it is his job to ring me out & he made it seem like it was such an inconvenience. like how complicated is it really, I’ve worked in retail so I get what having ‘complicated’ customers is like, the way he handled the situation was very self-centered, he is getting paid for this, I am not. He has no reason to treat me & talk to me like I am not welcomed. I asked him for things politely, he just lacks empathy & understanding. When the final total was .22 over what I had in pocket, he laughed more &.shook his head, I said I had it in my car & he said “yeah you’re gonna have to get that, I’m not taking anything else off.” NOT a good fit for his position of working with people, he clearly lacks the patience for such a simple task & he made it more frustrating than it had to be. Only giving 2 stars on behalf of the lady who can do her job correctly."

"Extremely clean and staff very friendly! Hands down my new favorite Dollar General. The one on Racetrack Rd. is so cluttered and junkie so this was refreshing. This Old Jackson location is about 15 min from me and Racetrack is about 1-2 minutes but I'll make the drive for the experience. Good job Old Jackson Dollar General!"
