Garden Center at The Home Depot

"Every single employee that we asked for help, went above and beyond the call of duty. I walked in the store about an hour before closing, for one specific item. As I was browsing on the way out, I saw a product I really wanted but had been putting it off. Employees were restocking items and working. A fellow customer pointed "G" out to me. I asked him for help to find a specific toilet seat. It was not where it was supposed to be. It was showing that it was in stock but none of the boxes contained the product. "G" searched high and low for me to find it. I had given up on the toilet seat and asked him for help with a farm sink. He said he would have it waiting for me in the front of the store in a few minutes. I left to look at appliances. Keep in mind, there is about 30 minutes left before closing. I find an appliance I really like and flag down another store employee. She did not work that area but she stopped and helped me. I asked her for specific question and she was able to get the answer for me, from an employee that knew that particular product (but was not working that area). Thanks to Gloria and Manager Mike D, I purchased two appliances that night. On the way to checkout, I see that "G" found the toilet seat lid that I had completely gave up on. It was waiting there for me. Teri, the cashier, was so peaceful, calm and sweet. She had a great presence about her that put me at ease, especially since I only had the intention of purchasing a lock (not 2 appliances, a kitchen sink and a toilet seat lid). I decided I wanted to apply for the credit card at 9:50 pm. Teri and her fellow co-worker, went through the entire process with me. They made sure that everything went through and that I was able to make those purchases the way I wanted them to be made. Manager Mike D, was the icing on the cake. He had a wonderful demeanor and he was so passionate about his job. He loves his staff and you can tell that he was a great hire. We needed help packing the car. "G" came up to the front and helped us load everything. We left the store at around 10:15 pm. This store and the staff are awesome! I am going back there to shop!"

"Good location, also has a Penske Rental center. Worst part about this store is the bird repellent system they have outside that has a piercing noise that makes it hard for anyone to go outside that still has their hearing. I make employees go outside to get what I need from the lawn/garden area. Really horrible idea to put this system in to keep the birds out when it also keeps the customers out of a whole area in the store."

"Horrible experience here!!! Went with my mom to get some plants but they were too heavy for us to put on the cart. She went inside the store to get someone to help and she was told they would send someone out shortly. We waited for 15 minutes and no one showed up. I ended up going inside the store myself. Took forever to find someone just to ask for help and the lady I asked had me wait by the door near the registers and told me to wait until someone came. I waited another 15 min. Waiting for 30 minutes just to get a plant on a cart is ridiculous. I ended up just walking out and heading to Lowe's instead. Much better customer service there and you don't even have to hunt employees down for help."

"If I can't find it a the Lowe's down the street I go to this HD. No issues with my purchases from here or the service."

"Not my favorite HD, but it seems always well stocked. It is hard getting in and out of th he parking lot due to heavy traffic on 120 and Barrett Pkwy. Not only that, if coming in from 120/ Dallas Hwy, the garden center area usually has people loading cars near the building causing a bottleneck until they are done. However, it is a good HD overall."
