"This park is very spacious, beautiful and has lots of things to enjoy. There was a softball game going on. There is a very wide walking/hiking trail that is very long and it had the veterans memorial monument there which is very nice to see with the flags from all of the wars of the United States. It also has a playground, a picnic area and a pavilion to eat under, if needed. It also has a concert arena there on the acreage. There was a security guard riding the property on a golf cart and we took our dog there as well as it is a dog-friendly Park."
"A wonderful veteran museum with friendly and very knowledgeable staff. The playground was less than impressive, however. Attention is needed as far as the ground, the equipment and trash is concerned. We were disappointed to see that the historical buildings are off limits and the train is gated. We had a fun morning visiting the museum and I highly recommend it!"
"Very 'woodsy' walking on the trail. Really nice Veterans Memorial Wall with flags, photos and open space on the monument area. Wonderful tribute to our military & wars. Definitely felt proud of this place."
"Great local spot for walking with multiple playgrounds and a few ball fields. This seems like a popular place for softball games and veterans celebrations. There is a lot of history at this location regarding Henry county Georgia. The walking path is surrounded by beautiful trees and is paved for running or walking. There's plenty of free parking and it seems very diverse people of all I ages."
"We've been coming here for years. It continues to be one of our favorite local parks even during covid. It's got great shaded paved waking trails and two playgrounds... Lots of open spaces for social distancing... Multiple pavilions and green grass for picnics. The veterans memorial areas are beautiful and well maintained. My children really love the bridge, train, and the helicopter. It's also a great location for playing Pokemon go and baseball. Plus it's right across from a couple restaurants too. It has public bathrooms(they are not the cleanest option tho). There's a lot of cool historical buildings to check out too. We highly recommend checking it out."
