"Wow you can eat pretty good Japanese food in Dawsonville, GA! Dinner for two couples / non-hibachi booth. Extensive menu. Food was good, soba noodles okay but not special (one has to travel to Japan for special noodles). Angus beef add on was very good. To us, the bento noodles with angus steak was a great value at $22 (see photo, could have fed 2 semi-hungry people, but maybe not enough for 2 hungry college students), had we known the included CA rolls were a full plate, we would not have also ordered the $7 CA rolls. Our server was super pleasant and checked on us appropriately. Service was pretty fast and they let us linger as long as we liked. We enjoyed coming here, and you can eat well for $20-25 per person."
"Kani house has been going down hill for sometime. This sushi smush burger was supposed to be Bonsai sushi. For the price, I expect at least the same quality as Sakura down the street. I will bring my money to the latter from now on."
"Most of the food was awesome. The steak could use some more seasoning, and the shrimp was overdone. The biggest issue was that they were so busy that the bathroom got neglected. Otherwise, it's a great experience."
"I've been driving by this place for the past 15 years, finally decided to take my daughter for lunch. Food quality was quite good, my daughter just returned from Japan after spending two weeks there. For the most part, the sushi was pretty authentic. Of course, as Americans always have to put our flair on any cultures food? So no Yum Yum sauce in Japan!! But everything else was really good. I definitely recommend this place."
