About the Business

Toomer's Oaks

Toomer's Oaks, located at 112 South College Street in Auburn, Alabama, is a historic tourist attraction associated with Auburn University. The institution is known for its iconic oak trees at Toomer's Corner, where fans traditionally gather to celebrate victories by rolling the trees with toilet paper.

Recently, Auburn University made the decision to replace the current Auburn Oaks at Toomer's Corner due to severe damage caused by a fire. The damaged trees will be replaced with two new live oaks that match each other in size and appearance. This decision was made after efforts to save the original Auburn Oaks, which were poisoned in 2011, proved unsuccessful.

The tradition of rolling the Auburn Oaks at Toomer's Corner returned in 2016 after a football win, and the university dedicated five original Auburn Oaks descendants in Samford Park in honor of loved ones. The trees have been named through philanthropic gifts that support the School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences at Auburn University.

Visit Toomer's Oaks to experience a piece of Auburn University's history and tradition, and witness the beauty of the new live oaks that will soon grace this iconic location.

"Just another great trip to the plains. My wife graduated in '82. Likes to come back and smell the air. The campus is still beautiful and the students act like adults. Have a lemon aid or AP at Toomers corner."

"What a fun and awesome tradition in Auburn! A definite must see and must do on a winning game day! Bring your own toilet paper with you to decorate the beautiful oaks; or team up with someone to decorate together. Take in the sights after the crowd has left for an awesome display of Auburn spirit!"

"Have you even been to Auburn of you haven't visited the Oaks at Toomer's Corner?? Seriously though, they truly are a beautiful sight to see - even when the tp flys proudly from the branches after a GameDay victory!"
