"A modest little place between the road and the river that has great, meaty BBQ ribs falling off the bone- some of the best I've tasted in a while. They come with house sauce that's a good compliment to the ribs plus offering a choice of other sauces running from chipotle to blueberry bourbon. If you like battered onion rings order those with your ribs and you'll be happy. The outdoor patio right on the Ohio River is the place to be if the weathers right - or you can sit inside the windowed dining room. The young lady who was our server was so nice - friendly, helpful and fast. The Boat House in on my list to stop at in Marietta!"
"Our first time here. We went on Labor Day, so most restaurants were closed. We waited about 40 minutes to get seat. The restaurant is not too big, but their foods are great! The hot dog and the meat were so delicious! We’re pretty sure will be back again! But they don’t have too much beer options."
"Beautiful patio by the water! Driving through and not far off the interstate. At 2:30 on a Saturday they were able to seat our large party of 14 on the patio within 15 minutes. Not many vegetarian options to choose from. The broccoli was a decent size portion, but the sweet potatoes, and the lobster bisque seemed very small for the price. The bbq chicken was my husbands favorite. As southerns we prefer wood smoked bbq, but this was still good. Bathrooms were small but clean. Only two stall in the women’s and one was out of order."
"After a long day of riding back roads, we decided to stop here for dinner. We pulled up right at 5 on a Saturday, and the place was packed! I was still able to find parking, and when I got inside I was surprised. It's so much bigger than it looks! We were seated right away with quick attentive service. The views were great, and food was amazing. The dry rub on the ribs has too much salt and it kind of ruins it but they still had so much flavor and spice. I got the combo and everything I tried was smokey and spot on. Prices were fair and portions big enough I had some to take home. Will definitely make the trip back."
"Nice view and great service. Food was a mixed bag. BBQ Club, Grilled Cheese, Fries, and Wood Chips were very good. Chicken tenders were overcooked and Philly Cheesesteak beef was very tough. Also charge an extra surcharge for using a credit card, which is a big turnoff for me."
