University Pointe Apartments

"The rent at University Pointe is a very reasonable price . Besides the prices for rent , the maintenance is terrible . There’s only one maintenance guy , and doesn’t fix the problem when he would come to my unit. I would have to put in more than one maintenance request daily , weekly , sometimes monthly . I’ve been renting with UP since November 2021 - April 2023 . My one year and a few months renting with University Pointe . My first year I stayed in UP then the 3 months I moved to Eagle walk ( another complex UP own ) . Eagle walk is the complex where tenant a few doors down from my unit tried to break into my apartment ( and yes I called the police ) . I’ve been watched ( by the guy who tried to break in ) every day when I get off from work and watched the entire time walking my dogs . I also have a ring camera on my door recording the entire time . I go to the office and let them know the situation and I get told “ there’s nothing I can do about that “ . My safety is in danger and that’s the last thing I want to hear . PLEASE DO NOT RENT FROM THEM . Save your money and move into other nice apartments in the Statesboro area , and YES THE ROACHES ARE TERRIBLE IN UP !!!"

"I have been here less than a year and I am counting down the days until it’s time for me to move. The location and pricing is perfect. If you attend or work at Georgia Southern, you cannot get any closer to campus. The first 6 months here were lovely. Speedy maintenance, great neighbor, walkable commute, quiet. Around the 6 month mark is when things started to go downhill. My AC unit was constantly leaking. My next door neighbors moved out and I inherited their bug problem. My kitchen flooded. This is all just the tip of the iceberg. If you can afford it, please don’t move here. Management talks a good game but I have seen no actionable attempts to fix any of the aforementioned problems. I’ve spent so much money on pest control because nothing maintenance claims to have done has been working. I used to cook 5 days a week and now I can’t even walk into my kitchen without a Raid can. I hate that things played out like this because I planned to stay awhile, but I’ve already begun looking for a new home. Update 3/10/2023: I stayed an additional year because UP opted not to raise my rent to get me to stay. With the money I “saved,” I hired an exterminator. Despite a monthly (and sometimes bimonthly) spraying, I could not clean the roaches out of that place. I spent every free moment sweeping, vacuuming, or bleaching the walls to no avail. I complained to management and was gaslit at every turn (“Are you sure you’re not leaving food out?” “We haven’t heard any complaints from your neighbors” “Maybe the exterminator you hired isn’t doing a good job” etc.). Please, for your own peace of mind, do not bother. The day I moved out was one of the happiest of my life thus far."

"I’ve lived here (Stadium Place Apts) for a year now and in my 41 years I’ve never lived in a complex so peaceful. The office is very friendly, understanding and very patient. The maintenance staff is always right on it when there’s an issue (usually minor stuff). The price and the amenities can’t be beat. I appreciate the attentiveness of the office staff whenever something is going on. I highly recommend UP Management."

"When I got on Google of read the reviews I wasn't expecting it to be what it is. I have no clue why these people are saying these negative things. I've yet to see a single roach or any bug for that matter. The walls are not Thin. I live on the bottom floor and yes, I do hear walking but it's not like unbearable. The girl who works up front is the sweetest and always does her best to help when you have an issue. Don't let these bad reviews steer you away. Come and see for yourself. I'm certainly glad that I did. They're well worth the money. We have new carpet, cabinets, refrigerator, and a new dish washer. The repair man is at your apartment by the next morning ready to get your things fixed for you."

"I’m not really sure what’s up with all the negative reviews, but I’ve loved living at UP. For the price, it honestly can’t be beat. It’s really quiet, and in my experience maintenance is always on top of things whenever needed. I haven’t had any issues with bugs. The only thing I can negatively say about it is it needed a good cleaning when I moved in. Other than that it’s perfect."
