"The problem was a fuse that was out. The technician looked for a serial number and was unable to find one, however, he did not bother to look behind the glass panel where the fuse was located. It was in the front display panel. The Sears technician said he could not work on the oven without the serial number, so he left. I had to have another company come look at the oven. I explained to the new technician that we couldn't find the serial number. The new technician immediately opened the front display panel and the model and serial number were right there. Based on what I described, he immediately knew what was wrong and proceeded to bypass that fuse and get my oven working immediately. He saved my Christmas dinner! The new technician ordered the part needed and returned the following week to replace the fuse in less than a half hour. The Sears technician did nothing to help me and didn't even know where the serial number would be!
