Michael's Nursery & Yard is a family owned and operated retail plant nursery located at 5360 Upper Mountain Road in Lockport, New York. Our journey began with selling excess perennial flowers from our own gardens, with a hand-painted sign as our only form of advertising. Over time, our gardens expanded and so did our business, thanks to the support of our entire family.

We specialize in growing and selling hard-to-find perennial flowers, including rare peonies. Quality, price, and service are at the heart of our business, and we only carry plants that are locally grown and suitable for our temperate zone and soil conditions. Our wide variety of perennial flowers includes many new varieties, and we invite you to explore our Hosta Forest, where hundreds of full-sized hostas thrive in a beautiful forest setting.

Our prices are some of the lowest you'll find, as we have minimal overhead and source many of our plants from low-cost plug growers. We are open every day from mid-April through October, and we encourage you to support small, local farming businesses by buying locally grown plants, trees, and produce. Everyone here was so friendly - they gave us a quick tour of the place and their gardens and were extremely helpful and knowledgeable with plant species, care and tips. Also - if you enjoy hostas, this place is heaven with a Hosta park with over 100 varieties. The prices are highly competitive. Would absolutely recommend."
