"I have family in Lavonia, and have tried J. Peters three times now. I don't like being critical of a restaurant considering how challenging it is to maintain profits & staff in these trying times, but have to say this place is overrated. An entree salad should NOT consist of iceberg lettuce only, that's cheap sports bar level quality. A proper entree salad has fresh mixed greens and very good dressing. Their blue cheese dressing was retail bottle quality at best. Fish & shrimp combo was cool & soggy, granted it was to go, but five minutes from kitchen to home, not good, and they forgot a side. It's a nice place with decent local staff, but the kitchen can do better! I hope you improve.."

"We drove over from SC and had a great meal today in Lavonia GA. Our server, Emily, took very good care of us. The steak and salmon were delicious, our salads were fresh and loaded, and the potato skin appetizers were incredible. No room for dessert! It was certainly worth the drive."

"Great place to eat actually like it a lot better than longhorn. All employees were nice and stayed on top of our table making sure we had what we needed and full drinks. Will definitely go back the food was just fantastic an you must try the croissant appetizer"
