"Went with a friend for a hike. On the way out we were met by a man on a four wheeler with a pistol and machete. He accused us of going into a swamp? He said we were gone for too long. Don't know what he was hiding, but running into a threatening armed man in the woods was not the experience I was looking for."

"Beautiful park with hiking trails, pavilion, outdoor kitchen, picnic tables, benches and swinging benches. Kayak or canoe rentals available. Beautiful Wedding setting and venue. Park is suitable for gatherings up to 150 people for rent."

"Absolutely beautiful area, relatively unknown to even lifetime residents of Stephens County. Trails run through multiple ecosystems, and offer a wide variety of views and wildlife viewings. Also the site of a former native american village. They offer primitive camping, kayak rentals, a pavilion to rent, and also give talks about the history of the area!"

"Very cool historic site. Several ( level ) trails that travel thru Cherokee and Creek Indian villages ( remnants long gone ) It's a fun look at local history and it's also free ! Nice pavilion and clean bathrooms near the parking area. WARNING : Some trails pass thru rather " buggy" areas and mosquito spray is a must."

"Great new park! Well marked trail with great places to stop to take in the scenery. Also a handicap accessible trail paved for wheelchair use. A wonderful shelter for family reunions or birthday parties. Only drawback is that it is not open every day."
