"An almost mile walk off Black Mtn road around a gated gravel road that leads to Davidson reservoir aka City of Toccoa water refuge. Don’t park where gate can’t be opened. Practice No Trace! Falls takes a bit of bushwhack finesse to drop down in and walk up to falls. A lot of blow downs but is gorgeous with great water flow when conditions prevail."

"The .9 mile hike down wasn't bad but the trek to get over to the falls was a bit of a climb. Absolutely beautiful once you reach it. You will have to park right before the yellow gate and follow the service road down."

"Filmy Fern Falls. Hidden gem and highly underrated, I never heard of this location until recently. It's not a commercialized park by any means. No parking lot, no restrooms. But if you're mildly athletic, outdoorsy, and adventurous then this place is perfect for you. How to get there. It's basically on a gravel stone road off a gravel stone road. GPS was good at getting me to the yellow gate with "No Parking" signs but there is a small shoulder for about two cars just before it. I parked there and began walking. It took me about 15 minutes to reach the end where I found a power station next to a reservoir and not much else. Backtracking about 40 yards, I could see - and definitely hear - the falls through the trees. After looking diligently, a small dirt footpath caught my eye descending down a steep slope. This lead to a tiny stream that was easy to jump across, then I weaved my way to the incredible falls. I've been to many and this one is simply amazing, great area for pictures. P.S. Another reviewer mentioned hiking to nearby Homestead Falls from here but I didn't easily see a trail leading there. I tried driving closer to it but "Private Property" signs prevented that. I plan on returning in the future in attempt to follow the creek. If successful at reaching Homestead Falls comfortably, I will update this review..."

"It's a short 1mile walk/hike from the gate to the somewhat trail. You gotta go down a steep hill & over a small stream. Once you cross over the stream you'll see ferns in front of you & then the waterfall. We had this place all to ourselves...enjoy!"

"Easy walk to where the fall is. Not so easy getting down the side of the road."
