"We have used the Stephen Co. Recreation Area a few times this summer. The bathrooms have NEVER been cleaned. I don't mean that they are just dirty from day use, I mean that the same trash has been in them for weeks. They smell, they are unsanitary, they have no soap or hand dryers and the spiders have built bigger webs with each week that goes by. The outside trashcans are overflowing and the picnic area near the bathrooms is littered with trash. Somebody delivers toilet paper but does nothing else. This is a very popular place to launch boats and kayaks. The ramp is easy to use and convenient. There is ample parking and many picnic areas along the shoreline. It could be a great place to picnic because the shoreline has an amazing view, but the overall condition of the area is terrible. Stephens County...do better. There should be a cleaning crew there every Thursday and Monday at a minimum. There is no excuse for the poor condition of this recreation area. Next time I am in the area I will take pictures of the park and post them. I hope that I am pleasantly surprised."
"Great fishing place but the restroom are disgusting. New soap and paper towels. The toilets are dirty. Beer bottles everywhere. Trash can smells like a dead animal. Other than this the table are great and grills to use. Can swim near the dock, boating, and peaceful areas."

"Stopped by at this location to attend a telephone call. For a small recreation site, the water view is amazing. However, the ground could be cleaner."
