"Hired them to move a one bedroom, we had less furniture than we originally told them as some of it sold the day before and less boxes than expected. However, they had issues fitting everything it into the van. The two men that showed up were completely incompetent and took 4 hours just to load the few items of furniture and 3 boxes into the van (in an elevator building with parking right outside). They ran out of blankets, shrink wrap, and tape which led to them damaging our mattress, a painting, and a mirror. They ignored complaints sent after the move explaining the issues. Cost almost $900 and was some of the worst service I've seen for nyc moving."
"I hired Man With Van NYC to move furniture from my aunt’s home. I agreed to minor damage occurring in order to get the furniture out safely. This was my grandmother’s furniture and I wanted it intact. Movers put a hole through the ceiling, hole through the wall, and broke the furniture. The furniture never made it out. It was left in pieces throughout the house. There was a lot of damage - 4 out of 6 pieces never made it out of the house. A small dresser and nightstand were removed. Contacted the Man With Van and was send a copy of their policy, no apology and no partial or full refund. I tried disputing the charges through my bank but because it was a service and they showed up I didn’t get anywhere. Never again! Unless you need a bull in a China shop don’t call these guys!"
