Great Chow China Buffet

"Great place to eat. Prices are very reasonable and the food is delicious. The servers have always been very kind and personable. I didnt pay attention to the opening time being 11am but when i showed up at 10:15 am they were more then happy to let me sit at a table and tldrink my tea while waiting for the food to be put out on the serving bars. I eat here quite often now. Highly reccomend the habachi grill they have as well."

"The food was wonderful and beautifully decorated. The sushi bar was my favorite place. I filled my plate thrice!! Everything was just Soooo beautiful. And for a buffet!! The prices were amazing!! Only 12$ an adult. 2 and under was only 1.99$ and 3-5 was only 5.99$ the drinks were over priced tho...so it definitely made up for the cheap prices in food. But still fed my family good food for only 40$"

"Love going to Great Chow! Tons of food and in our experience, we have not had a bad meal here. Everyone is always nice and made sure you were taken care of. There is a great variety of food, a salad bar, a fruit bar, and a sushi bar. The kids love it. If you like to pick out your food, then they have a bar where you can load your plate up with all the raw meat and veggies, and then they will cook it for you. They have always made sure that your drinks were full and finished plates were cleared off of the table. The buffet area has always been clean and neat. Aside from the food, they definitely do need to have the mens bathroom cleaned and updated. None of the toilet seats were tight and secured. Made it difficult for my 5 year old to use the bathroom. There were no tops on the soap dispensers, so anything could fall into the soap. The faucets were rusted and one had holes and pieces missing from rusting off. The paper towels were in one roll on the counter and soaked from everyone grabbing one with their wet hands to dry off. That is the only reason I did not give a 5 star rating. We will be back, and do recommend giving Great Chow a try if you've never been."

"This restaurant was below my expectations and experience in Asian style buffets. The ownership needs a lot of work to improve the quality of the food, especially for the price! $60 for the buffet with 2 soft drinks and 2 waters (party of 4 - 2 adults and 2 Elementary Aged Children) - too pricey for the quality and warmth of the food! They offer $1 off for military discount. We arrived about 45 minutes after the restaurant opened. It looked very clean and the lighting over the buffet area looked very inviting. There was a lingering smell that was unpleasant when walking in. The staff was very nice and did a good job clearing our table as needed and drink refills. The food presentation was good and had a good color. Overall, most of the food we tried was lukewarm at best. This is partly due to the kitchen over filling the pans that go into the warmers. Other reasons could be mechanical failure of equipment and/or kitchen staff is reheating product partially. A few items were seasoned well and had a good texture. Most items lacked a good season and was very bland. Pair this with a lukewarm state and this is very subpar. It is very unlikely that we will return to this restaurant! ——————————————————————— Please review my notes about the food I tried below. • Fried Shrimp - Cold and sitting for a while. Tasted like it was reheated and not cooked fresh. • Clams good and flavorful • Mushrooms taste fresh and flavorful • Coconut Shrimp taste good • Cheesy spinach not creamy lukewarm bland • Sushi is a little chewy and dry • Seafood bake is good and flavorful and lukewarm • Fried dumplings are lukewarm but good flavor • Cheesy mussels lukewarm but flavorful • Yellow rice bland and lukewarm • Ribs cold, chewy, and tough. Taste boiled. Sauce not paired well with ribs • Crawfish cooked bland but right texture and natural flavor • Fried fish seasoned good, but lukewarm • Baked salmon bland, but fair. The red sauce didn’t have much flavor. • Pepper steak great flavor and texture but cold • Ham Sausage link great smoke flavor but lukewarm. One of the best items tried! • Chicken on a stick is cooked good and a slight char flavor lukewarm • Bacon wrapped pork not a good flavor and lukewarm- needs to be grilled longer and salt, pepper, and garlic powder is all seasoning needed on the pork. The sauce doesn’t pair well Dessert: • Flan is good, with a firm texture • Cheese cake not good • Eclair stale and bland • Strawberry mousse is well balanced • Fried donuts very good and warm"
