"The guys at Butler are great. Had to have the alternator replaced in my brother's car. I also had a doctor's appointment to get to and they made sure I had a ride there and back. Great bunch of guys."

"I recently took my car up to Butler automotive to get my radiator repaired. They told me it’s OK if I brought my own part so I went and got a new radiator. It took Butler three days to complete the task when completed they charge me $700 which I thought was a bit overpriced just to repair the radiator. I paid the tab took my car back home because I was in a rush to go on a family trip. When I came back, I got in my car to check my fluids so I pursue to pop my hood open and my hood was locked. I couldn’t get my hood open. I took my car back up to Butler and explain to them that I didn’t have this problem when I drop my car off to them. I told him he seems like my hood latches are not working. They told me that I did not bring in my car for those repairs and I have no warranty for the hood latches. At this point I was very disappointed with the customer service and the lack of effort to try to help me to solve this situation. After going back-and-forth with them, they told me to leave the car. They would check and see what’s wrong with it and do a diagnostic test. Why would they do that when I just told them what was wrong with the car already? So I left my car only for them to call me two days later to tell me the same exact problem I told them. Not only that they proceeded to charge me $80 for the diagnostic test, they also want to charge me $1296 to get it repaired (just to repair the hood latches). I took my car left and found a professional mobile mechanic to do the job for 85% less than what Butler charge me. I’m very disappointed with Butler automotive. This Pacific Butler automotive located in Augusta, Georgia on Reynolds St seems to be more of hustlers, then professional mechanics. Terrible quality of work and high prices don’t mix I do not recommend anybody to go to this particular facility!!! If I could rate this place 0 I would."

"I bought three new tires, driver side front tire leaked from day one, took it in three times , they couldn’t find a leak, ask for a replacement, tire was from Bridgestone , Mr Butler told me I had to buy a new tire, they would return leaking tire to Bridgestone and see if a manufacturer problem, but they were not going to replace my new tire , I had to buy another one , and if Bridgestone found it was a manufacturer problem, I could get money back, took it to Cadillac dealership, they checked it for a fourth time, couldn’t find the problem, called Butler to let them know I was getting a new tire and bringing them back the one I bought from them to send to Bridgestone, they told me not to bring it back to them, let the Cadillac dealership send it back, Cadillac said Butler got the tire, they had to send it back, Butler Automotive is not where you should buy new tires, they will not make it right, if you have a bad tire. Also they quoted me a price on fixing a radiator on my truck, called Mr Butler told him I found a place on Reynold st that was going to fix it for $700 cheaper, Butler wanted over $1000 . Mr Butler said then they would fix it for what the other place was charging if I would bring it to butler , they are way over charging customers, will never use Butter Automotive again, they are going to overcharge you and not make things right if something goes wrong. They will not honor warranty’s on tires for sure."

"Eddie Butler (Automotive) not a very good place to service a vehicle. My first experience was to get the radiator on a 2004 xc 90 volvo repaired . When I got my vehicle, the front of the bumper was not fastened to the vehicle. I called and they fixed it. Next issue was a starter. All went well. I went to pick the vehicle up and I was told by the front desk that I should get a another car that one is old. I had a slight issue that needed to be repaired. I took my vehicle to Gerald Jones volvo. The estimate was out of my range. My wife and I decided since Butler AUTOMOTIVE had been doing work on the vehicle it would be a great idea to take that vehicle back for all repairs regardless the age of the vehicle. The estimate was $2,565.74. Front mount, engine mount, rear mount, sub frame mount, upper mount, cv axle, brake pads(F), brake hardware kit and front brake rotors. When we received the car, Eddie Butler stated that he couldnt get the service light to leave. Eddie stated that Butler AUTOMOTIVE removed the service light sensor and replaced it with a new one at Butlers expense. I never received the old part or any estimate for doing the work. The driver's side dim light has burned out to the connector fitting. I've check the issue before taking it to Butler AUTOMOTIVE. Eddie said he would fix the light free of charge also . I check the light and Butler Automotive changed the light but did not change out the connector which is the root of the light problem. I was not notified of this new exchange before service until I went to pick the car up. When I got home, I always locate the parts too see if new parts and that everything that was done correctly. First thing I noticed, The upper mount was not fitted correctly. Then I noticed, the intake by the turbo where the timing chain is located was not on correctly. I talk to Eddie Butler and Eddie said bring it back and we will adjust any problems. I call back the following monday of the week day on March 11th Eddie stated we have other cars here and we will have to schedule you. I Never received a call. Then the vehicle started with oil leakes on that side where the turbo is located. This occurred a day ago. While driving the vehicle it shut off in traffic on Greene Street between 9th and 10th. I called Butler AUTOMOTIVE. Butler AUTOMOTIVE did pick up my vehicle on May 23rd . The day of May 24th. I received a call from Eddie stating the timing chain has broken. Eddie stated that on my 2004, we dont have an interference motor and valve damage is possible. I ask Eddie Butler, what course of action did he take to make sure the valves are not damaged before putting the timing chain on. Eddie Butler stated a dye test and its not full proof and if he put the timing chain/belt on, it will be a cost if the car dont start. I stated, Well if you going to charge me. Why won't you see if you can make sure before you do please. Eddie Butler stated: Well I think this will be a conflict. Just come pick up your car and take it the volvo dealer. Its memorial day weekend and I wont be able to finish looking at it until Tuesday. I did not have any issues with any oil leak prior to taking it to butler automotive. I have had an oil change with Gerald Jones Volvo and diagnostic on my vehicle prior to Butler AUTOMOTIVE. My frustration is beyond disbelief."
