Hudson Harbour Apartments

"If I could give a half star I would. There are many units being sub rented as air bnb, management doesn’t care. Air bnb renters have damaged property, thrown parties all night etc I’ve woken up to empty beer bottles and garbage on my patio from air bnb parties. Nothing changes. Parking is always a nightmare, no money given to the complex goes back into it. All the gutters are clogged, the walkways are covered in trash and weeds. No salting or snow removal really gets done in the winter. “Luxury apartments” but the cabinets are falling off the wall and homeless people are can shaking in the entrance of the apartment. Very luxurious. No one in the office ever leaves their cushioned desks and they don’t care since they can leave at the end of the day. Walkways are undaunted and pavers are loose and missing, the parking lot has pot holes riddled all over it. The garbage area along with the complex has trash littered all over the ground."

"I lived in Hudson harbour for 3 years. My apartment was very nice and I have no complaints with it. Management did change 3 times while I was there, and progressively got worse to the point I left. Rent increased (the average price raise) but the grounds maintenance and services offered dwindled substantially. Certain maintenance workers were great, and if I approached them directly, would fix issues. If I submitted requests through their channel, it never was addressed, to the point I doubt it was ever received. It’s a fine starter apartment complex, but I was sad to see the quality suffer so drastically in my short time living there."

"We lived in a beautiful loft for 4 years there. I thought the price was right. Whenever I had a maintenance issue they were always prompt to receive my call, and most importantly help me with my various issues. Since I have been there they have gone through a few managers, but now the manager that is there (Amy) has always been very receptive to anything I had to say about the Hudson Harbour. I really enjoyed the views of the pond, the sitting area, geese, and ducks that stay year around."

"They maintained the property fairly well, but did not do reseal the doorway despite asking multiple times over several weeks (bugs came in frequently); the leasing office staff was nice & did the other repairs quickly. The pond is beautiful & the geese/ducks aren't afraid of people. Apartment wasn't inspected prior to moving in and was dirty, but once cleaned, was a nice looking apartment."

"Worst experience ever. My husband would find hypodermic needles and other debris on his walks around the complex. Air conditioning constantly broke down, walls are thin (heard dog next door barking constantly), floor tiles are broken, lines of ants would come under our front door and walk right up the stairs into the kitchen, on random days we had no hot water in the morning, and beware of the non-refundable deposits and fees. Had to pay $250 (non-refundable) for a declawed cat, plus another $25 per month. $50 per month for washer/dryer rental (can't use your own). Out of $500 general deposit, they keep $350 (to get apartment ready for next tenant), but you're required to deep clean carpets, along with the usual cleaning prior to moving out. Who keeps $600 of a total of $750 when you leave an apartment in immaculate condition? In addition, we were told the opposite about the deposit when we were looking to move in (told we get $350 back and they keep $150). They are awful to people moving out. They wanted my keys when I moved my belongings out more than two weeks before the end of my lease (and were very rude about it) even though I had paid until the end of the month. Plus, instead of the traditional 30-days notice, they require 60 days. Don't take the leasing agent's word as the truth. The garbage area is a disaster: the smell, garbage put in the recycling bins, furniture, electronics, and other items left there, and spilled garbage all over the dumpster. Then there's the goose poop that covers most grassy areas, as well as the parking lot in front of my building. I've never come close to having such a bad experience at another rental property. More than $1900 per month, plus electric, for a 3-bedroom (one bedroom is closer to a walk-in closet than a bedroom), plus they keep $600 of your deposit."
