"Park with an interesting history. It was the New York State National Guard property in 1934. Some evidence can still be found of the rifle and pistol ranges. Rugged trails. Beautiful lookout over Irondequoit Bay. No amenities. This is a hiking park that is beautifully rustic."
"Lots of very well marked and clean trails! The amount of trails means you can take and distance hike you want, from a short 20 minute walk to over an hour. Terrain is mostly easy, apart from an occasional tree root. Can be hilly at times but the incline is not too steep. I definitely recommend this park and am looking forward to coming back in the summer"
"Decided to go here for a walk! Absolutely loved it, but definitely should have worn hiking shoes instead of sneakers. It's along a marsh, so a fair amount of the trails are a little boggy, and fairly wet. In the summer I can imagine the bugs may be out in force."
"What a great place to hike! Moderate/Difficult trails which are marked but can get confusing. Lots of climbing. Beautiful scenery & plenty of birds. Walked white trail today & got a Great workout!"
