"Quite literally the ONLY company who would answer the phone or get out here in a reasonable amount of time, he offered to come the same night but it was so late so I had him come the next morning. Repaired quickly and cheap, heating ran fine for a month and eventually my 50 year old boiler went out and Alfred worked with me to get it replaced within less than 48 hours, right before it was in the negatives. I did tons of research on prices and can confidently say I got a great deal on the installation of a brand new boiler. On my own with my toddler, and not being from this area, being in the negative temps with no heat could’ve been a scary situation but H&B really came through for us. Will always recommend."

"My AC went out on a Thursday. I had a family member look and on Friday started to call every single person on the list when I searched HVAC near me. I was in a pretty big rush due to having a toddler and being 29 weeks pregnant with twins. Out of every single person who said they were 24 hours Alfred was the only person to get back to me ASAP. I still haven’t heard back from a few companies with 100’s of great reviews that say they are 24hours. Anyone who has since called me back was either busy until the following Thursday or could come diagnose with a fee. I was definitely hesitant as I’m a look at reviews person but thought at least he was the only one to call me back. He came out on the weekend, didn’t even charge me, determined the problem (needing a new unit) and Monday came back to fix everything. Told me to let him know if anything goes wrong after he leaves (so I’m not sure why others said what they said) I’m so grateful for him. Both him and his crew were nice and efficient. I thought they were awesome. Definitely made a customer for when we decide to rent our house out!"

"Extremely unreliable. They came out to look at our system and said they didn't know why the house wasn't heating; they would need to schedule again and flush the system ... they made appointments on multiple occasions and never showed. When called to see what the delay was, "What was I supposed to be doing?" Was the question I got then their schedule got too busy, or they forgot and still waste late to the changed times. Then, only I gave two stars because they showed up as scheduled on the first appointment. I can not say the same for the other appointments in the last two months. Don't waste your time."

"I'm not sure why so many bad reviews about Alfred - He came over as promised (on a weekend), and installed a new On-demand boiler and water heater in a few hours. All within a week. I will definitely call him again."

"DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS MAN: My company called "Alfred" last year to look at one of the units we were having issues with. He came and told us how we needed to fix it. Paid for the part and he has never come back to install and fix the issue. We have called numerous times and if he knows the number we are calling from he does not answer. We called him from a new number and he answered. Told us he would be here and what time...Still waiting for good ole Alfred."
