"A few of us from the Port Jefferson Charles Dickens Festival were asked to come to the Carriage Museum here.We will be having Dickens characters here November 25th and December 9th.It's been so many years since we've been here! What an amazing place!!We were told that there are more than 100 carriages, carts, sleds and even old fire vehicles here.Father Christmas, Oliver The Sweep and Eliza Fairfax posed for promotional pictures with as many vehicles as we could. There's even a barn featured in the William Sidney Mount painting Dance of the Haymakers on site!I posed in the Blacksmith barn next to that one. This museum is definitely a hidden treasure that's right out in the open!!We will be the on the 25th and 9th.And will be returning again and again!!"

"My husband and I attended the Baseball Hall of Fame Exhibit. What a wonderful way to celebrate Father's Day! Beautiful pictures and artifacts from old Mets, Yankees, Dodgers, and Giants' games. The Carriage House exhibit was so marvelous! Our guide was so informative and extremely pleasant. So much work was put into both buildings. A real gem!"

"It's a great museum! It has a few buildings with expositions and some art outside. Has picnic tables outside, and you can bring your food (if the weather is good) The best part is Carriages museum  - really great exhibitions! $10 per adult ($5 per student) Kids under 6 are free."

"I went to see their amazing carriage museum. Make sure you look around really good in the basement as there is a display of beautiful European carriages hiding down there! I also didn't realize there is a separate art building, and in a 3rd building is a children's art exhibit. There were also free interactive art projects for kids. And some of the trees have CROCHETED designs around them!"
