"I knew Allen, not well, but spent a couple of years in Hebrew School with him at Sholem Aleichem School on Bainbridge and 208th st.back in the early 60's. He was a good guy. Remember how sad I was when he passed. He had a good sense of humor. I believe I played on those two baseball fields in the Shandler rec area the first week they were open in the mid 60's. Glad Allen is remembered this way."
