"We went to this practice after moving to Newburgh what is now quite a few years ago. The practice had excellent reviews at the time, and we had good experiences. Note you will not see Dr Saladino, but a Nurse Practitioner, and will get reassigned at random. Several years ago we saw really lovely nurse practitioners but for whatever reason there has been a lot of turnover and loss of the best and most sensitive NPs. Over time, the practice had been reduced to the mysterious Dr Saladino (I've never even seen the guy) and an NP named Christian Plaza. Nothing bad to say about him personally and he seems like a very nice guy, but I will say he is extremely quick to "write off" concerns as being "extra" considerations/ products of the imagination or anxiety. My husband was extremely sick a couple years ago and Christian was difficult to work with/ not forthcoming with contact, seemed not to believe there was really an issue (the poor man had a very serious gastrointestinal infection that had him doubled over for months), which was verified and treated successfully by a really great/ sensitive/ dare I say even fun local gastroenterologist (Dr Scileppi!). Along the way when trying to figure out what to do, Christian and Dr Saladino seemed very offended when we asked the Dr to review the file as a second opinion, which is not the collaborative medical spirit I expect from professionals. Still, life is busy and we are relatively healthy, so we stuck with the practice for regular checkups. I had a small concern recently that required bloodwork. Office doesn't follow up and gaps between appointments are long-- ugh, but ok. Like many reviews here, the last straw was the front desk staff. There is one woman who is lovely and has been working there since we started bless her heart, but more often you'll see a newer front desk manager who is really inhumane/inflexible/brusk. I decided to leave the practice and got my medical records printed out -- looking at Christian's "private" notes in my file about my recent concerns and general conversations about my family's health confirms that leaving was the right thing to do. This may be a great practice for some but for my family it unfortunately isn't a good fit anymore."

"My husband has been a patient of Dr Saladino for years. He is a very nice Doctor but the staff at the front desk is a complete nightmare. Rude to say the least! It’s almost impossible to get your prescriptions filled and you will get attitude for asking. Every month I dread calling because I have to deal with them. Extremely frustrating and very unorganized. I’ve asked to talk to Dr. Saladino himself or even a supervisor and I always get the run around. This has been going on for YEARS and I’ve finally had enough."

"Dr. Saladino has been my doctor for a little more than 15 years. I believe he is the greatest doctor in our area, always knows what you need and is very attentive and concerning of your needs. Now after Covid-19 we can reach him via phone video in which I find it comfortable from my home that way I know I’m not in close contact with others and feel safer. Even when my insurances changed I made sure he was always my primary care physician. My husband and I trust completely in Dr. Saladino. The staff is incredible so I wouldn’t change this doctor for anybody else. Thanks Dr. Saladino."

"I am a former Pharma Rep from the UES of NYC. I have met doctors from great to bad, and everyone in-between. Now that I live in the Hudson Valley, Dr. Saladino is my Primary Care provider. He is caring and compassionate, and as a patient, he is someone you feel you can confide in. Dr. Sala-D is willing to listen to what is happening in your life and not be judgemental. Longer wait times typically mean better patient care. That is something I am willing to deal with."
