"We stayed in the Treetop Suite and absolutely loved our stay! A very nice getaway for those traveling in from the city. Serene and peaceful. I have never seen the stars shine so bright before! The breakfast cooked by our hosts, Harry and Valarie, was spectacular! The room was top-notch. It felt like a home away from home. Every other hiking trail and farm that we planned on visiting was accessible via Uber. A 10/10 experience."

"We stayed here the weekend before Thanksgiving - and in the holiday rush I forgot to leave a review! This morning I found myself recommending this place to a friend along with a glowing review (and a full recount of all three of the breakfasts we had, over a month later). We loved staying here - our room was private and comfortable, Harry was a fantastic host who gave us our space, but made sure we had everything we needed, and breakfast was incredible! We were visiting friends in Rhinebeck with plans to spend time in Poughkeepsie, and this was the perfect location. The Vanderbilt mansion is less than five minutes away, as is the FDR property. We are planning to come back, and have already recommended this place to several other couples. Thank you, Harry!"

"Inn the Woods, a unique experience in a Frank Lloyd Wright-style neighborhood in a secluded tree-lined lane in Hyde Park. We stayed in the aptly named ‘Tree Top Suite’, making us feel as if we were in a treehouse in harmony with nature and our surroundings. The Suite is spacious, modern, quiet, and clean; fully equipped with amenities, we had everything we could have wanted. The food deserves its own review; we looked forward to Harry’s gourmet breakfasts every day. The photos on their website IS the food you get. Not only does it look great, it is impeccably presented, and it tastes amazing. There is plenty to see and do in the area. Every local restaurant has elevated its food game, thanks to the Culinary Institute of America, only a few miles away. Harry and Valarie are gracious hosts, with ready suggestions for local points of interest."

"When we travel we prefer Bed & Breakfasts over hotels and we were SO lucky to stay at Inn the Woods this past Friday. We had the Tree Tops Suite and it was a beautiful home away from home. We had a full suite with a couch, lounge chair and table with chairs. The king sized bed was so comfortable and we slept so soundly that night. There were floor to ceiling windows overlooking beautiful scenery. Every detail was included. There were robes in the bathroom, special towels if you use make up, a refrigerator with water, a selection of coffee, tea and hot chocolate. There were even games! The next morning Harry our host served a delicious breakfast of fruit salad, a scone and an omelet with herbed cheese. And he makes his own special blend of coffee which was delicious. He also gave restaurant recommendations for that night and definitely steered us in the right direction. If you are looking for a cozy place to stay with great atmosphere Inn the Woods is your place. Thanks Harry!"

"Want a cozy, serene getaway without spending a fortune? This is it. The location is perfect, tucked away on a gorgeous rocky wooded hillside, yet close to Hyde Park and local destinations. We stayed in the upstairs suite, with wraparound views of the trees and brook; it's spacious and comfortable and has everything you need to just relax and enjoy. There are decks and outdoor spaces to sit and read or just take in the scenery. Harry and Valarie could not have been more gracious: we had to change our schedule at the last minute and they went out of their way to accommodate our late departure. Harry's breakfasts are just right: lots of homemade and local ingredients, freshly prepared. A Hudson Valley gem!"
