"Our room was clean and comfortable enough (although trash was left in the can from a previous guest). Carlie and her husband try really hard to please and are kind hosts. In the middle of the night it sounded like someone was hitting tennis balls (loud popping sounds). I don't know where it was coming from or why. I recommend staying here."
"We were in the area last week and while there we booked two nights here for the upcoming car show in Clayton. While there we were able to see our room and the property as I was concerned for parking my car trailer. The owners were more than accommodating and offered what ever might be needed for parking. However I had trouble with my tow vehicle and will not be able to attend the show. I contacted the motel and my cancelation was accepted with no issues. I felt the owners were as disappointed as me. So very nice to find people today who are sincere and kind. I look forward in the future to stay with here."
"I do not recommend this motel at all. The service is horrible! I found used wrappers inside my bed immediately as I arrived to my room. The bed was disgusting, there was so much junk inside of it. The room was not neat, and everything was just completely filthy. I believed this motel would’ve been better because of the ratings but I was wrong. My child was afraid to sleep on the bed because of the things we found inside of it. The room was just dirty in general. Please get better at the service, and make sure to clean the rooms better. This was horrible, definitely wouldn’t recommend this motel. Others might’ve had better experiences, but mine was horrid."
"The family who owns this property is lovely & kind and were great hosts! They told us about all the great places to eat and drink, and provided tons of grills around the property for a nice “glamping” experience! The dock is an excellent place to fish from or watch the sunset, and the heated pool on the property was a great touch! Since they took it over in April, I’ve been back twice and can’t wait to keep going back!"
