I Fresh Market

"Bought a bunch of items for Chinese new year shopping. Lady at cashier rang up 3 x an item when I had only 2 of it. I came back and confronted her and she said NO REFUNDS when it was her fault. Also it was a non perishable unopened item. I realized it 5 minutes after checking out. She told me to just grab another item to make it 3. Super annoyed at how the supermarket is run and foe the cashier's laziness and incompetence."

"Kind of racist and quite passive aggressive. I Come her a lot I like it it’s ok in prices and has food I like. But every time I go without fail i am met with the same behavior from staff. When I buy my items the cashier would attend the person behind me and skip me a few times. The same older woman would make a face when I hand them money and then toss or just drop the change on the counter. But always throw my things to the side even when I bought delicate items she even cracked my things. When I pay with my Debit card they say no no no food stamp super quickly almost automatically even tho I’ve never made low enough to qualify. More than a few times have they yanked my bag or purse and opened it when I’m done shopping and payed to see if I stole. I understand it’s their job but it’s so aggressive the yelling and pulling is uncomfortable because I think their stealing my bag and they assumed I’ve stolen. After they look and see in my tiny little 90s Prada bag that can only fit a phone and a card they still open my shopping in the clear bags they give and go over every iteam in my recite as to justify to what they just did. And when they don’t they don’t apologize just smile and wave me good bye. I do come in shorts and a t shirt because I live a few blocks away maybe I look to weird without makeup on. But I keep trying to explain their behavior kinda oh but that how old lady’s act or yea maybe it’s a bad day for them. But I notice notice I’m the one they treat different from everyone else in the store I’m brown. my brother who’s much lighter and taller Hispanic gets treated very nicely but me and my mother who are tan always get the same treatment."

"Groceries here are notorious for being not fresh and expired. Bought packs of fresh noodles and beans from here just yesterday; all 3 bean packets have maggots in them and maggot eggs, the noodles had small spots and were moldy. That’s why this place keep losing customers the three times I went. Never coming here again! Please do yourself a favor and not come here to buy expired or moldy food."

"I Fresh Market can get pretty crowded. It all depends on the time of day you shop there. There is no hand sanitizer when entering the store. I do believe the cashiers might have hand sanitizer if you ask. The restroom was pretty disgusting. There was no toilet tissue, nor was there any soap on the dispenser. Restroom sanitization needs improvement. The quality of the produce is good. I wasn't too crazy about the quality of their ginger or the scallions. Their aisle is very organized and neat. The seafood was fresh, and it did not have a fishy smell. There are divides between cashiers and customers."

"Decent all around prices on meat and vegetables for the area. Large selection. Vegetables are nicely trimmed (I.e., not a lot of the junk parts left attached). Lots of meat and seafood."
