"I had a horrible experience with Dr. Purtill. I was recommended to her by another parent who advised this doctor would be flexible with administering vaccines. Upon meeting this doctor, she told me “if you do not plan to vaccinate your child by January, this is not the practice for you.” Given she is flexible with other parents, I felt she was not flexible with me. I don’t want to throw the “discrimination” card out, but totally felt discriminated against. In addition, I so happen to be a speech and language pathologist / feeding specialist. Dr. Purtill recommended my child begin using a sippy cup. Pediatricians need to be aware of the latest research out there. Dr. Purtill, please stop recommending the use of sippy cups to your patients. Sippy cups are not recommended and can actually cause delays in children. Instead, specialists (SLP/feeding) recommend the use of open cups. “Due to the positioning of the tongue, drinking from a sippy cup is similar enough to drinking from a bottle that your child may have delayed development of swallowing skills.”"

"Dr. Purtill is such a wonderful woman. My first appointment with her was great! My daughter is now 3 month old, so I’ve only been there 4 times and each time was great. I loved that she asked me questions, that made me leave there feeling confident with my newborn in knowing I didn’t forget to ask her a question. And of course she shared and explained a lot of things I didn’t know. Dr. Purtill really takes her time in each appointment and will remember things from previous visits! She truly makes you feel special, as if you and your baby are her only patients. I even did a video call, Dr. Purtill made me feel as if we were in the office, that’s how detailed she is. The nurses are friendly and knowledgeable. The ladies at the front desk are wonderful too! I love that when I call I get an actually person, not a recording to press numbers 1-100 only to leave a message or speak to a random person who doesn’t even know who you and your baby are. The ladies at the desk remember us and make setting up apportionments or helping with concerns very easy. I would totally recommend Dr. Purtill as your pediatrician. The entire practice is great!!"
