"I was looking forward to meeting the new doctor and have to say I was really disappointed. He was neither friendly nor was he able to make my daughter feel like he really cared. He is very cold, does not seem to have a way with kids like he should as a pediatrician. But the worst part was how he treated me as the mother. I had requested at the end of the visit after he basically said it was all in her head, bloodwork to be done for my daughter who for now over 1 year has been complaining of the same symptoms ( fatigue, nausea, upset stomach, headaches) and this was our 3rd visit for this, but he smirked at me and asked why he should do that?! He said " she looks healthy"! And that if he started that where would that end!? That I would then if the bloodwork was normal only want more tests and he would be creating " anxiety" with me! WTH!!?? Isn't it his job to be thorough? That if my child has been complaining over 1 year to try everything to make sure there isn't more going on? You can't tell looking at someone that they have diabetes, thyroid disease, cancer etc! How many times have people been misdiagnosed! I would rather have a doctor be TOO thorough than just LOOK at my child and say she is healthy! All the while he made ZERO effort to bond with my daughter who was obviously nervous he barely looked at her, could not make eye contact! Seemed very out of place as a pediatrician! Bad bedside manner in my opinion and I have worked in the medical field with many doctors for over 10 years. Bedside manner in pediatrics is especially important dealing with young , already scared patients as well as concerned parents. Won't be seeing him again."
