"My uncle went to the ER 6 times in one month in excruciating pain, unable to swallow, starving and dehydrated. They kept sending him home. Finally the family had to step in. He was admitted for about 10 days, and the care was deplorable. My beloved uncle was full of cancer, and died shortly after."

"1212/23..HORRIBLE experience with this ER. I go in with stroke symptoms. Half a dozen ppl come in and hook up machines. HOURS later I ask one of the so called "nurses" what's going on and I'm told... "it will be a couple hrs before the DR can get here to talk to you. That's just how it is in the ER. Tells me if I don't like it I can leave... so I left. As I'm walking to my car I get some big Ole blowhard yelling at me to stop. Tells me he is in charge and demands I answer his questions or he will call the police. Quality Healthcare right there folks"

"Nurses are very nice but total incompetence in terms of the rest of the staff and “doctors”. I wouldn’t take my goldfish to this hospital. Maybe they should stop building a new building and hire actual doctors who know what they’re doing and actually care about the patients. Stay far away from this place."

"If you are in a lot of excruciating unbearable pain and most likely need a CT Scan Potsdam hospital is not the place to go. I can guarantee you no one in the ER at that time was in more pain than my wife yet she was informed it would be hours before she could get a scan and then hours after that before it would be read. Unfortunately 1 star is the lowest rating possible."

"The reason for the 3 stars is because I was there Thursday Aug. 31st for knee replacement surgery. I had my boyfriend there with me and neither during nor after my surgery did anyone keep him informed of how I was doing or how surgery was going. He was a nervous wreck by the time he finally found out I was ok. He had to hunt someone down to find out. Also, the room I was in had an older lady already in it. She spent the entire night after my surgery crying for help and refusing to use her own call button. No one gave her anything to calm her down, or contact anyone about the problems she had ALL NIGHT. And there was another old lady in the next room that screamed and cried from the time I got to my room until I checked out and left. Not one minute sleep did I get the entire time I was there. It is very important to have a calm atmosphere after surgery for proper healing. I got absolutely nothing like that. The night nurses were not considerate at all when helping the other lady in my room. All around a very bad experience."
