Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport

"So I’ve used the Savannah airport a few times and prior to today I had a pretty okay experience. Aside from the fact they don’t have a place for service animals to use the restaurant after you get through security and that is unacceptable but not what my review is about. Today I went to go get my friend from the airport and opted to use the pickup area which I had never done beforehand. I wasn’t aware if you had to keep moving or you could park somewhere for a bit. I chose to trying waiting in an out of the way area on the end and had a guy come right on the other side of my window and blow a whistle at me and at first I was okay I gotcha my mistake. However during my laps I watched the same man kindly go up to other vehicles and not whistle but kindly explain that they needed to keep moving. On my lap after he whistled at me I had the car in front of my pull over to the pick up lane but wasn’t really over far enough so I had to wait for her to close her door and get out of the way during which the guy started whistling at me again telling me to keep going when the lady’s door was STILL OPEN AND SHE WAS IN FRONT OF MY CAR. The final straw for me was when I’d been doing laps for awhile because my friend was having trouble waiting for her baggage to come. I was going really slow trying to make sure I didn’t miss her because I forgot to ask her what airline she was flying with. He proceeded to jump at me and yell about how many times I’d driven around the loop through my window. I found his behavior to be ridiculous and extremely rude. If this is the kind of behavior they allow their employees to have I genuinely would rather drive to Atlanta or wherever the never nearest airport is and pay 20x the price the ticket would be there vs Savannah. I am flying some family in to Savannah in a few months and luckily I opted to drive up to Atlanta to get them from there because it’s their first time flying alone and was worried about the connection flight because I don’t think I’d ever step foot near this airport again let alone give them my money."

"Great airport! It is small compared to other airports, but it is very easy to get around. I have never been in and out of an airport so quickly."

"Great little airport to fly out of. Fast and efficient through security and all gates are close by. Parking, rental cars, and Uber options are all also close and easy to access. Several nice spots to sit and dine. An unexpected bonus was a rather attractive parking ramp statue/fountain and outdoor seating."

"A moderately small airport… which I love. It has everything you’d need in a large airport, but boiled down to a comfortable size. TSA check was not very long at all on this Sunday that I passed through. The open area towards the front offers last minute gift ideas and eateries. There are also food options once you pass tsa. The center area has recharge stations for your mobile devices."

"Very, nice one of my favorite airports. How is a great stopping place to get to Hilton head and of course our favorite place on the East Coast Jekyll Island"
