"We had so much fun meeting and learning about all the inhabitants in the zoo. Seth who took us around is really knowledgeable and enthusiastic to show us all his family "pets". This place is an unassuming little gem in Perry."

"Not ♿️ accessible. Old 1800s building, a few stairs & too small inside for a ♿️ to fit. 7/14/23 Must Pre-book a 90 minute guided tour. $12 each. 3 tours/day. 3 'store front' rooms to visit with hands-on opportunities to hold some of the many various amphibians. Educational fun for kids & parents, too. Hard-working & Family-run, this rescue & care facility is really worth the visit!! They pack in (literally) every creature that needs a home & care, for many different reasons. Geckos, frogs, snakes, dragons, tarantulas, scorpions, lizards, turtles & tortoises, and a few birds, too. The kids REALLY enjoyed the experience. Thank you, Liam!"

"I wasn’t sure how the tour would go based on the outside, but it was a really well done tour. The guide was knowledgeable and gave lots of good information about all the animals we saw. We got to touch and hold snakes, lizards, and tortoises, but the guide was also sensitive to anyone who was more cautious or nervous about being so close to the critters. They also do some great rescue work!! Definitely worth it to go on the tour and visit!"

"So I do have a few negatives, I'll start with those-r I truly wish that prehistoric zoo had a full size venue rather than being cooped up and scattered in small buildings. This makes it very hard for families like mine (6 people) to walk around if anyone else is inside, and borderline dangerous for the under 5 crowd. There's certainly no way a stroller or wagon could get through so I'm glad to have taken my baby carrier instead. The materials used to make some of the enclosures are rough, which is unfortunate with youngsters who touch every and anything- or for parents unfortunate enough to be pushed into them. I ended up with a splinter and slight irritation from building 3. HOWEVER, none of this is the fault of the owner or staff!!! I can't imagine the costs associated with housing all of these animals, and I do not blame them for utilizing the space they have to it's full capacity. The animals are so very well cared for, they are in seemingly good health and have proper enclosures. We absolutely loved getting to interact with so many animals we rarely get to experience! Beyond that, the staff is absolutely phenomenal. You could not ask for more attentive individuals. While there we met and spoke at length with Ian and Liam, who knew so much about the animals themselves, the species, their environments, etc. They were both unwaveringly patient with my kids and all of their questions. They allowed my toddler to interact with our assistance. Genuinely could not have asked for more!"

"We started going to Prehistoric World within the last year and our boys love it. The annual membership is more than worth it, and we've been to a lot of places, but NOWHERE else will give you the hands on experience that you'll get here. We decided to also book them for our son's 7th birthday party, and it was, far and away, the best party event we've ever had. Crystal took some requests on what to bring but also chose some lovely surprises, she's great with the kids, entertaining but also educational. One little boy started out nervous, and by the end she had a lizard doing his hair! This whole business is a family effort, and the care and commitment they have for their animals is obvious. Highly recommend for a visit or an event!!"
