"Food was very good. Skirt steak, wings, fried chicken all good. Shrimp bisque was not. They either needed more wait staff or better wait staff, they were a little slow and the place was only half packed."

"I really love the entire concept of Painters but simply cannot do a 5 star and here is why: location is terrible and the parking is always aggravating! It’s literally in the middle of the woods with a hard left turn, unless you’re coming from Bellport. The space inside is awesome, very spacious with clean bathrooms. The service on the day we went was a bit slow even though it was not busy and close to holidays in December. My brother and I ordered mussels to start, the portion was not as large as I’ve had in other places though. My main course was a simple seafood soup that was also a bit small with not much seafood, the entire menu is very broad so I may go back and order something else. We also ordered two desserts and that filled me up a bit but overall I just don’t know, maybe it’s me…it’s a great place to hang and from their social media, a great place to dance on the weekends! I will return and update on my next visit. It just always leaves me wanting more…elsewhere."

"First time to this restaurant. We all agreed we would love to come back. We had reservations and were seated right away. The atmosphere is really cool. Brown paper on the tables with crayons and a candle in a glass jar to melt the crayons on the rim of the jar. A fun way to pass time while waiting for your orders. They have a really big bar. Lots of different areas to sit in. I'd really like to come in the warmer weather and sit outside under the lights. The food was excellent! I had the grilled chicken club with house fries. Plenty of bacon and the house fries were great, loved the flavor of them. We also ordered the meatloaf sandwich and it was very moist, not dried out. My son got the fried chicken. He said the gravy on it was great as well as the potato salad and corn on the cob. My daughter had the Donburi Bowl with grilled Tuna. She enjoyed it as well. We were all really happy with our dinners. Thank you Painter's for a great dinner and night out together"
